Did you know that Alicia Moore, known as P!nk got her nickname "Pink" from an embarrassing experience during her school years?

She got her nickname "Pink", because she is known to turn a pinkish color whenever she is embarrassed or when she gets shy.

Another theory is that she got it from a TV show character called Mr. Pink but decided to cut it down to sound better!! Another one I have been told she said in a interview was that she got it from friends at school because she was such a "tomboy", you know the opposite of man is P!nk! Another one is that the name P!NK came from her embarrassing experience when a boy she liked pulled down her pants at camp one summer and her underwear was the color pink and she then turned pink. So that's how she was dubbed with the name.   Source

Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), better known by her stage name Pink (stylized as P!nk), is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Originally a member of the girl group Choice, she began her solo career with the 2000 single "There You Go" from her debut album, Can't Take Me Home; the R&B album was certified double-platinum in the United States. She gained further recognition collaborating with Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera, and Mýa covering "Lady Marmalade" for the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack to earn her first Grammy Award and first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Pink has become one of the most successful artists of her generation, having sold over 100 million records worldwide as of 2013. Her career accolades include three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award and six MTV Video Music Awards; additionally, Pink has had 19 top-twenty hits on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2009, Billboard magazine named Pink the #1 pop musician of the decade, and in 2012 VH1 named Pink #10 on their list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music. Her net worth as of April 2013 is estimated to be around $70 million, making her one of the most commercially successful artists of her generation

"Just Give Me A Reason"
(feat. Nate Ruess)

Right from the start
You were a thief
You stole my heart
And I your willing victim
I let you see the parts of me
That weren't all that pretty
And with every touch you fixed them

Now you've been talking in your sleep, oh, oh
Things you never say to me, oh, oh
Tell me that you've had enough
Of our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
We're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

I'm sorry I don't understand
Where all of this is coming from
I thought that we were fine
(Oh, we had everything)
Your head is running wild again
My dear we still have everythin'
And it's all in your mind
(Yeah, but this is happenin')

You've been havin' real bad dreams, oh, oh
Used to lie so close to me, oh, oh
There's nothing more than empty sheets
Between our love, our love
Oh, our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
I never stopped
You're still written in the scars on my heart
You're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Our tear ducts can rust
I'll fix it for us
We're collecting dust
But our love's enough
You're holding it in
You're pouring a drink
No nothing is as bad as it seems
We'll come clean

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh, oh, that we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Did you know that Olivia Newton-John spent ten weeks at the top of the charts, the longest for any Australian artist?

Olivia Newton-John spent ten weeks at the top of the charts, the longest for any Australian artist.

"I Honestly Love You" was Olivia's first US Number One, spending two weeks at the top in 1974. "Have You Never Been Mellow" spent one week on top the following year. In 1980 "Magic" ruled the charts for four weeks and "Physical" dominated the charts for ten weeks in 1981. In 1978 her duet with John Travolta, "You're The One That I Want", also topped the US charts for a week. Olivia was born in Cambridge, England, and her family relocated to Australia when she was a young girl.

Before long she was appearing regularly on Australian radio and television shows. Her first record, "Till You Say You'll Be Mine", was released in 1966. She relocated to England to record and began achieving chart success, but her first releases didn't fare well in the US. In 1973 "Let Me Be There" reached Number Six on the Billboard Hot 100, beginning a series of hits in the US.

"I Honestly Love You" (first released in Australia as "I Love You, I Honestly Love You", per its chorus) was a worldwide pop hit single for Olivia Newton-John in 1974. The song was Newton-John's first number-one single in the United States and Canada, thus cementing her as a household name in North America. Wikipedia

"I Honestly Love You"
Maybe I hang around here
A little more than I should
We both know I got somewhere else to go
But I got something to tell you
That I never thought I would
But I believe you really ought to know

I love you
I honestly love you

You don't have to answer
I see it in your eyes
Maybe it was better left unsaid
This is pure and simple
And you should realize
That it's coming from my heart and not my head

I love you
I honestly love you

I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable
I'm not trying to make you anything at all
But this feeling doesn't come along everyday
And you shouldn't blow the chance
When you've got the chance to say

I love you
I honestly love you

If we both were born
In anoother place and time
This moment might be ending in a kiss
But there you are with yours
And here I am with mine
So I guess we'll just be leaving it at this

I love you
I honestly love you
I honestly love you

With the global album release of Loud in November 2010, Rihanna continues her journey to dominate popular music and fashion worldwide. Loud’s first two singles, “What’s My Name” (featuring Drake) and “Only Girl (In the World),” were worldwide successes, both solid #1 chart-toppers in the U.S. and UK. “What’s My Name,” “Only Girl (In the World)” and “S&M” became Rihanna s 8th, 9th, and 10th #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, respectively. Rihanna now ranks as the only female artist of the past decade to chart ten #1’s on the Hot 100 as well as the youngest soloist to notch ten Hot 100 #1’s.

In the U.S., Loud debuted with the greatest first week sales of any Rihanna album to date, over 207,000 copies, earning RIAA platinum status by January. From her Caribbean roots to the top of the charts, the runways of Paris and Milan and some of the biggest stages in the world, the 23-year-old, Barbados-born beauty has already earned the coveted title of international superstar. In 2005, Def Jam released Rihanna's dynamic debut album, Music of the Sun, which garnered much attention due to the popularity of her highly addictive dance hall-flavored first single, “Pon de Replay.” A year later, she released her platinum-selling second album A Girl Like Me, featuring the #1 singles “SOS” and “Unfaithful.” From her breakthrough multi-platinum album A Girl Like Me to her ubiquitous global smash “Umbrella,” in just a few short years, Rihanna helped redefine the path of popular music for a new generation.

With two successful albums under her belt in just two years, Rihanna dropped her third album, the multi-platinum Good Girl Gone Bad, in 2007. Rated R was released worldwide in November 2009 and the first single, “Russian Roulette” made chart history for Rihanna – as her 12th Billboard Hot 100 career hit. The next single, “Rude Boy” (the fifth multi-platinum certified song of Rihanna's career) hit #1 on a slew of charts – including Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay, and Media Base’s Pop, Hot Dance Radio, Hot Dance Clubs, Rhythm, and Urban charts.

Rihanna's extensive accomplishments also include multiple #1 hits, a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for “Only Girl (In The World), ” a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Run This Town" and a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Umbrella" along with fourteen Grammy nominations, two MTV Video Music Awards, Favorite Pop/Rock & Soul/R&B Female Artist at the American Music Awards, and the European MOBO Award as Best International Act. With her beauty, fashion and business sense to match, the Island girl turned international superstar will continue to rock the world for years to come. The journey continues!

Did you know that Lady Gaga taught herself how to play piano by ear?

Lady Gaga showed a strong passion in music since she was little. At age four, she had taught herself to play piano by ear. At the age of 11, she was accepted to the Juilliard School in Manhattan, but instead attended a private Catholic school in the city. By 13 she had written her first song, by 14 she had begun performing at open mic nights.

Lady GaGa, who was born Joanne Stefani Germanotta on March 28, 1986 in New York City,  used to sing along her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper's hits. There was also a point in her childhood where she turned to sounds performed by The Rolling Stones and The Beatles

A few years later, Gaga was granted early admission to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts—she was one of only 20 students in the world to receive the honor of early acceptance. While there, she studied music and worked on her songwriting skills. She later withdrew from school to find creative inspiration. To make ends meet, she took three jobs, including a stint as a gogo dancer, while she honed her performance-art act.

Lady Gaga's debut single, "Just Dance," was released to radio in early 2008, and received both popular and commercial acclaim. The song was then nominated for a Grammy Award (for best dance recording) in 2008. The song lost to Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger," but this didn't keep Gaga from reaching No. 1 on the mainstream pop charts in January 2009. The second single off of The Fame, "Poker Face," earned Gaga even more success.
