Did you know that Rihana's tweets led to multiple arrests?

Rihanna is now crowned as the ultimate social media queen. Every time she tweets or Instagrams, millions of followers sees it, even people in Thailand. Even authorities have been watching her feed closely and arresting people that she mentions in her account.

On her trip to Phuket, Thailand on her Diamonds world tour, the singer took a selfie pic holding a slow loris (vulnerable or endangered animal) and posted to her Instagram page with a caption "Look who was talkin dity to me!"

Unaware of the end results of her post, she was already aiding the local authorities to arrest two young men (20-year-old and 16-year-old males) for violating the law of prohibiting Thai citizens from charging tourists money to take photos with the endangered primate.

Rihanna's picture went viral with more than 232,000 views that led to Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources began investigating.

Another incident that Rihanna deserves her new title as the Ultimate Social Media Queen, the singer posted a few NSFW tweets about taking in an X-rated sex show in Phuket' red-light district, also raised eyebrows among law enforcement officials who noted such shows were against the law.

Rihanna can now add crime-fighter to her resume now.

Needless to say, after partaking in the Thai nightlife, Rihanna's global trek has since moved on to Singapore, after which the "Disturbia" star will head Down Under for a series of dates  in Australia. Hopefully, she'll stick to taking selfies of non endangered specieslike the koala?!

Did you know that a man paid $1 million to be in a Lady Gaga video?

A Russian billionaire, an extremely wealthy person based in Moscow is a huge fan of Lady Gaga that goes by the nickname "Arkady" paid ONE MILLION DOLLARS just to appear in Lady Gaga's music video "Alejandro".

This 30 year old Lady Gaga fan was so obsessed with the star that he offered to pay her so that his love for her would be immortalized in one of her videos. "Alejandro" is a 9-minute mini movie. Musically, it is composed as a mid-tempo synthpop song with an uplifting melody. Contemporary critics predominantly gave positive reviews for it and noted its heavy influence from pop groups like ABBA, Ace of Base and Madonna.

Upon release, "Alejandro" charted again in the United Kingdom as well as in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United States while topping the Finnish, Polish, Russian, Bulgarian, and Romanian charts. "Alejandro" became Gaga's seventh successive single to reach the top-ten of the US Billboard Hot 100.

"Arkady" can be seen wearing SS like attire and black leather in a quick shot. When asked for comment, he responded, "Yes it was me in the clip, but I can't give further details." Obviously, the Lady has sworn him to secrecy, and we can't even begin to imagine what inventive punishment he faces if he breaks the vow.

Did you know that Jay-Z used to write down ryhmes on a paper bag?

Deep in the heart of Jay-Z, he knew that rap offered him the best opportunity to get out of the drug business. He said "Rap was my way out, the only talent I had, and my shot of making something of myself. And it was legal!"

In an interview with NPR, Jay shared how he began putting down rhymes: "I would run into the corner store, the bodega, and just grab a paper bag or buy juice — anything just to get a paper bag. And I'd write the words on the paper bag and stuff these ideas in my pocket until I got back. Then I would transfer them into the notebook. As I got further and further away from home and my notebook, I had to memorize these rhymes — longer and longer and longer. By the time I got to record my first album, I was 26, I didn't need pen or paper — my memory had been trained just to listen to a song, think of the words, and lay them to tape"

Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), known by his stage name Jay-Z (sometimes styled Jay Z or JAY Z), is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is one of the most financially successful hip-hop artists and entrepreneurs in America. In 2012, Forbes estimated Carter's net worth at nearly $500 million. He has sold approximately 75 million records worldwide from all of his albums, while receiving 17 Grammy Awards for his musical work, and numerous additional nominations. Consistently ranked as one of the greatest rappers of all time, he was ranked number one by MTV in their list of The Greatest MCs of All-Time in 2006. Three of his albums, Reasonable Doubt (1996), The Blueprint (2001), and The Black Album (2003), are considered landmarks in the genre with all of them featured in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Jay-Z went back to selling drugs after  his recording job with Jaz-O, but music was becoming his main focus. He described this in an interview cited in Jay-Z... and the Roc-A-Fella Dynasty.

"Ironically, using memorization to hold on to my lines is the way I develop the writing style I use today. No pen, paper, or paper bags needed. Just point out the track and I'm all over it....and yet... I also became fully committed to putting my hustle down. I kept moving further south-from Trenton, NJ, to Maryland, and finally to Virginia. I spent less and less time in New York, but when I did come h ome, I would go to parties and jump on the mike, freestyling here and there."

Knowing that selling drugs would never be enough to get  him and his family out of the projects, Jay-Z constantly worked on honing his craft-his rhymes, his flow, everything that went into the technique of rapping. He also know from the beginning that the subjecct of his raps would be his life and the lives of others like him living in poverty in the project. According to Jay-Z... and the Roc-A-Fella Records Dynasty, he know that his goal as a rapper would be "to have a conversation with the world...I'm telling the world my plight. I was speaking about the people and the neighborhoods and mentality of someone who comes from nothing. ..I didn't want to sell drugs. I want a better life."

Did you know that Barry Manilow's chart topping song entitled "I write the songs" wasn’t written by him?

"I Write the Songs" made famous by Barry Manilow reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976  after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975. That song was not actually written by Barry Manilow. It was written by Bruce Johnston, who is a member of The Beach Boys.

The song is sometimes erroneously rumored to be about Brian Wilson. Johnston cleared this up when he told us: "The Captain & Tennille were the first artists to record my song 'I Write The Songs.' I never wrote 'I Write The Songs' about Brian Wilson. I wrote it about 'where music comes from' (for me, music comes only from God). My song has nothing to do with Brian! I admire Brian Wilson's great melodies and, as a member of the Beach Boys, I'm singing these fantastic songs in concert year after year."

This won a Grammy for Song Of The Year. The Beach Boys never won a Grammy - after winning this, Johnston became the only member of the group to get one until Brian Wilson's "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow" was awarded Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 2005.

From the liner notes of The Complete Collection And Then Some...: Manilow was originally reluctant to record this song, saying to Arista Records chief Clive Davis, "This 'I Write The Songs' thing Clive, I really don't want to do it." Manilow says his worry "was that the listeners would think I was singing about how "I" write the songs, when it was really about the inspiration of music. Clive understood, but didn't think it would be a problem. "Besides," he told me, "You DO write songs!" Manilow says he was concerned about coming off as a gigantic egomaniac, but that he liked the song so much he decided to record it. He adds, "Whenever I heard the song in public, I felt the need to run to everyone who was listening and say, 'You know, I'm really not singing about myself!'"

Bruce Johnston shared his Song of the Year Grammy award with Barry Manilow.

Did you know that Eminem's songs were called "sickening and offensive" by an Australian Prime Minister in 2001?

Eminem had trouble getting a visa to perform 2 shows in Australia in 2001. The rapper was to perform with his D12 posse in Sydney and Melbourne on July 26 and 27 that year.  The Australian Prime Minister John Howard tried to keep him out, calling his songs "sickening and offensive."

But eventually Immigration Minister Philip Ruddock granted him a visa after Eminem acknowledged the requirements, and also acknowledged that breaching them could result a visa cancellation. Eminem was warned the visa "carried with it a responsibility with respect to our multicultural society and values and the need to avoid vilifying or inciting discord. . . To the point where a potentially dangerous disturbance resulted."

There were concerned groups that opposed to Eminem's Australian tour because according to them Eminem sang violent, foul-mouthed and racist lyrics that are often demeaning to women and gays.

The only reason why Eminem gets these bad ratings and critics is because he exposes the worst of society. This multi-awarded rapper, record producer, songwriter and actor, grow and raised in a not so ideal home. His parents were in a band and separated when their relationship went sour. When Eminem was in his teens, he wrote letters to his father and came back as "return to sender." The rapper was a bit loner and often bullied. He was beaten significantly by De'Angelo Bailey (former schoolmate), split his lip open and knocked the wind out of him. He suffered further beatings from the same bully, including a bathroom incident, where EM sustained injuries to his head, face, back and legs. In his worst run-in with the bully, Bailey hit Em in the face with a snowball containing a heavy object or a piece of ice, and then proceeded to beat him up, which resulted in a concussion and temporary loss of vision in one eye for Em.

Eminem later referenced his bully in his 1999 song "Brain Damage" which included the following lyrics about Bailey: "He banged my head against the urinal till he broke my nose/ Soaked my clothes in blood, grabbed me and choked my throat."

Bailey sued Eminem in 2001 for violation of privacy, but the suit was rightfully tossed out. Recently, Eminem has been speaking out against bullying, in an effort to combat the trend of suicides resulting from anti-gay bullying in schools, despite the fact that Em himself has been accused of fueling anti-gay bullying through his song lyrics.

Eminem's controversies over lyrics have been perceived as being homophobic and was the reason why Australian Prime Minister John Howard attempted to ban his entry to Australia. Eminem denies that he is homophobic and says that during his upbringing such obscene words as a faggot and queer were commonly spoken as being derogatory in general and not implicitly singled towards homosexuals.

When asked in an interview with the New York Times about same-sex marriage been legalized in his home state of Michigan, Eminem responded, "I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want". He said that his "overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be."

EMINEM will return to Australia for an East Coast stadium tour in February 2014. In a bill sure to buck the trend of failing hip hop tours in Australia, Eminem will be joined by Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Melbourne rapper 360 in a bill, titled Rapture.

Eminem's Australian shows will be at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium on February 19, Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on February 20 and Sydney's ANZ Stadium on February 22.

Eminem will release The Marshall Mathers LP2 on November 5. Tickets for the tour will go on sale October 31.

Did you know that Avicii has a charitable heart?

We know that's he's very popular. As well as being an ace DJ with a knack for producing unique music that crosses over with mainstream pop, Avicii is a charitable guy. Since achieving widespread commercial success, Avicii began working with his manager and executive producer Ash Pournouri to start House for Hunger in 2011, a charity dedicated to alleviating global hunger. House for Hunger is a non-profit charity that is based on the idea that house music can bring people together, and that's exactly what Ash and Avicii are aiming to do.

“We have traveled to nearly every corner of the world,” says Ash, “and witnessed the famine and hunger that are problems in every country, from the richest to the poorest. We were compelled by our experience to address the issue of hunger in an impactful way which would involve many people, gain great exposure, generate more commitment and engage people over time. We have the power to activate a whole generation of young people, speaking to them in a way in which no other organization can. They trust us and we can help them engage in the fight.”

“When Ash came to me about this idea, everything about the project just makes sense to me,” added Avicii, aka Tim Bergling. “I feel very blessed to be in the position that I'm in to begin with, being able to do what I love and traveling around the world seeing all these amazing places and meeting all of these different people from different cultures. Hunger hits everywhere and no country immune to it.”

Avicii explained, "You have to give something back. I am so fortunate to be in the position where I can actually do that. I feel lucky every day when I wake up and am able to do what I love and make a living." The House for Hunger has donated over a million dollars to Feeding America. It also funded The Feed Foundation, a charity founded by Lauren Bush, allowing it to distribute over 2 million school meals throughout Africa.

Avicii

Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, was born on September 8, 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden. Aside from being a famous Swedish DJ and remixer, he is also a record producer. The meaning of the word avicii? "In Buddhism it means the lowest level of hell," says Tim. "I was honestly just looking for a MySpace name and had remembered the word Avicii from a friend. It just sounded cool."

Avicii is a dance-genre DJ who ranked No. 6 on the Top 100 DJs list by DJ Magazine in 2011, No. 3 in 2012, and was ranked No. 3 again in 2013. Said Avicii in April 2011, "I've always been into music, and growing up with older siblings I've also had loads of different influences when it comes to my music taste. There are loads of other people that have influenced me but I think the biggest inspirations I've had aside from my manager has been the Swedish House Mafia guys and Eric Prydz, they were the ones who first got me into house!"

On a smaller scale, Avicii's known to be generous with his music, often releasing free tunes to his fans whenever he reaches social media milestones. What a guy!

Did you know that Justin Bieber videos on YouTube led to his success?

Justin Bieber videos on YouTube attracted millions of visitors and led to his success

Justin Drew Bieber born March 1, 1994, is a Canadian pop musician, actor, and singer-songwriter. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by American talent manager Scooter Braun, who came across Bieber's videos on

YouTube and later became his manager. While searching for videos of a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber's 2007 videos by accident.

According to Jan Hoffman of The New York Times, part of Bieber's appeal stems from his YouTube channel. Long before he released his EP, My World, in mid-November, the YouTube videos attracted millions of views.

Bieber has also been criticized for looking and sounding younger than his age, his teen-pop music, image, and frequent media attention. He has been a frequent target of Internet bloggers and message board posters, notably by users of Internet message board 4chan and users of YouTube.

After posting dozens of homemade videos on YouTube in 2007, where the multi-talented Bieber put his impeccable spin on songs from artists like Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder, Justin racked up over 10,000,000 views purely from word of mouth.

“I started singing about three years ago,” says the Canadian native who grew up an only child in Stratford, Ontario. “I entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol. The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. I wasn’t taking it too seriously at the time, I would just sing around the house. I was only 12 and I got second place.”

In an effort to share his victory with his loved ones, Justin began posting his performance footage online. “I put my singing videos from the competition on YouTube so that my friends and family could watch them,” he says. “But it turned out that other people liked them and they started subscribing to them. That’s how my manager found me. He saw me on YouTube and contacted my family and now I’m signed!”

“I’m looking forward to influencing others in a positive way,” says Justin. “My message is you can do anything if you just put your mind to it. I grew up below the poverty line; I didn't have as much as other people did. I think it made me stronger as a person it built my character. Now I have a 4.0 grade point average and I want to go to college and just become a better person.”

A virtually untapped well of natural artistic talent, Justin Bieber is primed to be a solid force in music for many years to come. “I think older people can appreciate my music because I really show my heart when I sing, and it’s not corny,” he says. “I think I can grow as an artist and my fans will grow with me.” And just think, he’s just getting started.

Bieber has received numerous awards, including both Artist of the Year Awards at the 2010 American Music Awards and the 2012 American Music Awards, and was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards. With a global fan base, termed as "Beliebers", and over 40 million followers on Twitter, he was named by Forbes magazine in 2012 as the third-most powerful celebrity in the world.
