Did you know that Miley Cyrus supports Gay Marriage?
Miley Cyrus has developed gradually from a simple singer/actress, known for portraying Hannah Montana to a more complex personality. She now appeared on stage with racy outfits and singing crude and offensive in a sexual way lyrics.
Miley Cyrus' album "Can't Be Tamed," released in summer of 2010, led to her official transformation. Rumors said that she's now trying to be Britney 2.0
She has been an outspoken of gay marriage and gay rights in general.
Her middle finger tattoo of marriage equality equal sign speaks of her support on Gay Marriage. She posted a picture of it on Twitter in August 2011.
“Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn't marry. And you couldn't have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach,” Miley Cyrus says in Glamour.
“When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me. They said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” "Everyone is entitled 2 opinions!' if u don't stand 4 something you'll fall for anything.' :)" the pop artist tweeted.
Her latest tattoo tweet has drawn both supportive comments and tweets from those who disagree.
